Well I,m chris's brother and Zanes's coach and reading how both of you talk about these kids, shows that you dont know anything about wrestling and sports. Both kids work hard in what they do and both kids take the sport serious. Rather than take away from these kids you need to praise them and wish them good luck this weekend or whatever weekend. I was at practice yesterday and heard that there was a debate going on between whom was the better wrestler. Just thought I would try to help you out. Both kids wrestle to the end and both kids have the heart to do well. This is idiotic to be worring about now. dicuss after the season when there is nothing going on. Keep the kids focused.

Anyone know what happened to John Perry, the 103 pounder from Battery Creek at Lower State.  He didn't qualify for state again this year, but was ranked in the top 4 the entire season.  2nd year in a row he's been ranked so highly and missed the State finals.  I know he had to face the Wando kid and that was going to be one sure loss, but what about the other one?  Was he sick? injured?  Just curious because of his high ranking over the past 2 years.  Thought for sure he'd get there this year.

Chris and Zane are both great wrestlers and I can say that my son has benefited tremendously by being around the Newton and Abeyta family, which have helped shape wrestling in this area.  I hope he is as good a wrestler as either of these guys when he gets to HS in 5 years.  I would consider both of these guys more than capable of winning state in their respective weights for 2A and 4A.

Zane is probably good over @ A/AA, but there is no way he could beat guys like Beck,McCormick or Borja
over in 4A
